Heel Pain - is generally the result of faulty biomechanics (walking abnormalities), when too much stress is placed on the heel bone and the soft tissues that attach to it. Heel pain may also result from injury; running or jumping on hard surfaces; wearing poorly constructed footwear; or being overweight. It is treated with medication, therapy, injections and braces, or orthotics. Possible treatment: Trigger Point Injection, local Steroid Injections, Peripheral Nerve Block.
Hernia - is a condition in which part of the intestine bulges through a weak area in the abdominal muscles. Inguinal hernia is the most common type, pushing through a weak spot in the inguinal canal, which is an opening between layers of abdominal muscles near the groin. Symptoms of inguinal hernia may be a lump in the groin near the thigh, pain in the groin, or, in severe cases, partial or complete blockage of the intestine. The most common type of treatment is surgery to repair the opening in the muscle wall.
Herniated Disc may result from injury or aging. A disc’s inner material may swell, pushing through the tough outer casing at a weak spot and pressing against surrounding nerves. The disc material released by the tear can injure the spinal cord or the nerves that radiate from it. Herniated discs cause extreme debilitating pain and limit activity. Some herniated discs press on nerves, and it is entirely possible for a person to have pain from a tear in the disc’s outer membrane without a large disc bulge. Possible treatment: Discography, Nucleoplasty, Steroid injections, Root Ganglian Neurolysis.
Hip Pain - is any pain in the hip. It is often felt in the middle of the thigh. Because the hip joint is so deeply located, it can often be difficult to determine the exact source of pain. Common causes are: injury or trauma, aseptic necrosis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, bursitis, muscle sprain or strain, and even radiculitis. Treatments include steroid injections into the bursa or hip joint, Facet Joint Injection, Sarcoliac Joint Steroid Injection, Intraarticular Steroid Injection.
